Creative Concept for the Hamburg State Opera and Philharmonic State Orchestra
Creative Concept for the Hamburg State Opera and Philharmonic State Orchestra
gradwerk designs and develops the UX and online design for the Hamburg Opera, the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hamburg Ballet John Neumeier. In particular, the "mobile first" strategy is in the foreground in order to optimally reach users with smartphones and tablet PCs.
The new website design for the Hamburg State Opera and the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra was requested nationwide. The digital agency gradwerk was able to win the creative project and has conceived and designed the new responsive web design, i.e. both websites fit for smartphones & co, for both cultural clients from Hamburg.
The clear and aesthetic website design newly developed by gradwerk picks up on the colour scheme of red, blue and beige for both houses and uses this specifically to guide and lead the visitor to the content. The opera shows itself with the key colour red, the Philharmonic with the colour blue. The web font used, Nexa, underlines the modern and contemporary form of implementation and ensures very good readability on all devices.
The gradwerk web specialists developed an appropriate design and operating concept for all content pages and functions. At all times, the focus was on a quick and easy-to-grasp usability of the website and this was specifically taken into account in the written concept. A particular challenge here was to optimally display the extensive match schedule with calendar in all user situations, i.e. on desktop computers as well as on smartphones and tablet PCs.
Staatsoper Hamburg
The Hamburg State Opera in Hamburg's Neustadt dates back to an opera house founded in 1678 on Gänsemarkt. Since 1827, the opera house has been located on Dammtorstraße. The front building was destroyed by air raids in 1943 and rebuilt in the style of post-war modernism until 1955.
