Extended MuseumPlus connection for the Kunsthalle zu Kiel
A new dimension of the digital art experience.
The Kunsthalle zu Kiel proudly presents the expansion of its website with an improved MuseumPlus connection, realised by the digital agency gradwerk. This optimisation not only offers a more visually appealing and user-friendly experience, but also innovative functions that bring the artworks and artists to the fore in a unique way.
Artist index and improved search function
A highlight of the extension is the introduction of a comprehensive artist index. Visitors can now easily search for artists listed in MuseumPlus by selecting the first letter of their name. This function is complemented by a combined search option that allows both an artist selection and a free text search. This allows art lovers to find the works and information they are looking for quickly and easily.
Featured fields for selected objects
Another outstanding feature is the introduction of featured fields. This allows certain works of art that are marked as "Featured" in MuseumPlus to be presented prominently. This function enables the Kunsthalle zu Kiel to emphasise selected objects and offer visitors a curated insight into the collection.
Display of sketchbook inner pages
A sketchbook display has been added to the detailed pages of the artworks. Visitors can use a slider to scroll through the pages of a sketchbook, with each page offering detailed information on the respective sketches. This presentation makes it possible to experience the works in their entire context.
Linked content and automatic synchronisation
Another new feature is the ability to display front and back pages as well as other linked content. These links are maintained in MuseumPlus and automatically synchronised via CMS 6. This ensures that all information is always up-to-date and comprehensively available. Over 1100 objects are currently available online, and more are being added all the time.
