New online design of the website of the office furniture manufacturer PALMBERG
New design and UX concept for an optimal onsite experience.
As part of a redesign, our designers were commissioned with a new online concept to make the onsite experience of the PALMBERG website even more exciting for visitors.
At the beginning of the design phase, the webworkers from gradwerk carried out an extensive onpage analysis with subsequent evaluation. In addition, wireframe models of all elements and page types were developed. This was followed by an extended prototyping phase, which enabled the client to try out the website, which was not yet programmed at this point, similar to a live site and test its usability.

Today, Palmberg is one of the most important companies in the German office furniture industry and produces high-quality office furnishings for the European market.
The result is a completely new user experience with image-rich elements that strongly emphasise the product variety and the strong design character of PALMBERG furniture. All elements can be easily created and placed by the PALMBERG editors via CMS 6. Also product information with specially positioned info texts at certain image positions can be exactly assigned via coordinates. In this way, special functions of a piece of furniture can also be presented via these interactive elements.
Not only onpage, but also in the backend, i.e. the databases in CMS 6, there were a lot of innovations: an extended product database that allows a new presentation of all categories and furniture. The newly designed sales partner database now allows a postcode search, so that companies can quickly find the right distributor or dealer in their region.
The new design concept is profound, comprehensive and above all sustainable. Already after a short time, a 30 % increase in the number of visitors and a higher dwell time on the new pages could be measured.
