Supermarket chain EDEKA Struve from Hamburg relies on a new mobile-compatible website.
New web design for Edeka Struve.
Struve GmbH from Hamburg ranks fifth and thus occupies one of the top places among the largest independent EDEKA stores in Germany. The family business, which currently operates 14 stores and is jointly managed by Robin and Wolfgang Struve, now presents itself with a newly designed and conceived website.
The web design agency gradwerk was commissioned by Hamburg-based Struve GmbH to design and develop a new digital image. In addition to a new web design, which of course always looks perfect on mobile devices, a lot of usability was also tweaked and planned. To enable Hamburg customers to quickly find out about all the week's offers, software has been developed that is integrated into CMS 6 so that the so-called "handouts" in PDF form can be placed on the website conveniently and scheduled in advance.
Furthermore, the nearest markets and their currently planned events can be viewed via a postcode search. A comprehensive career section, where interested parties can also apply online for apprenticeships and jobs, rounds off the offer.
Of course, visitors can also find out a lot about the range of products on offer in the markets, for example about fruit and vegetables and also about wine. In addition, there is the history of Struve GmbH, the regional partnerships and also a lot of information about current campaigns. The entire website is managed independently by Struve employees in Hamburg using a CMS. In order to simplify the work, the digital agency gradwerk developed a number of individual software tools for the Hamburg-based client, including an extensive market and appointment management system.
Struve GmbH is a Hamburg family business with a 30-year tradition and was founded in 1986. Today, father Wolfgang and son Robin Struve operate a total of seven gourmet markets, five e-centres and two lobster stands. EDEKA Struve is thus very well represented throughout Hamburg and is one of the five top-selling EDEKA markets in Germany.
